After the hike in Calpe I went to Benidorm for lunch and to see the Mediterranean Balcony.
This landmark was once used as a defense against pirates! The wind was crazy and the waves crashing on the rocks below were breathtaking!

Today's hike is up the Penyal d'Ifac in Calpe, Alicante!
The Penyal d'Ifac has two routes. I recommend doing the easy one first then finish the hike at the top of the calcareous rock for amazing views! Sunscreen, water, good shoes and a snack are major requirements. I also wore my HandUp Global Goods necklace, a gift from my brother. Definitely one of those places you wish you could bring everyone to share how special it is! It was a tough hike but I started and ended it with a smile and that counts! Afterwards, I found my way to the beach for a strawberry mango ice cream. Hope to do this hike again soon! The Santa Barbara Castle is one of the largest mediveal castles in Spain. Located in Alicante on the Benacantil mountain, it dates back to the 9th century.
I spent the morning exploring the dungeons and towers and taking in the breathtaking views. Did someone say Pink Lake?
After visiting Alicante, I hurried to Torrevieja to discover the Laguna Rosa of Spain and watch the Sunset. Check out more info here. Finally getting the hang of traveling alone.
Putting myself out there to meet new friends and explore new places. I loved Alicante and can't wait to go back. |
AuthorTraveling alone has been the scariest, most liberating, and life-changing experience of my life, so I thought I would document it. My blog is named Table For 1 to inspire others to lose the fear of being alone and to get rid of any self-doubt. You deserve anything and everything you work hard for. Categories
